I’ve spent a lot of time trying out different yarns to use with my punch needle and talking to people that have more expertise than I do about yarn. Cheviot is a good sturdy wool that has a bit of shine and cushiness. I have used it to make rugs for the floor as well as cushions, carpet bag, mug rugs, and more. It is a good all around yarn for punch needle, traditional rug hooking and many other crafty projects.
